Are You Playing To Win Or Just Trying Not To Lose?

Welcome to the video series that’s all about climbing the ladder of vibration and manifesting the life of your dreams. My name is Stephanie Mulac and today we are talking about playing not to lose.

I want to tell you that that’s a really bad idea. So, why is it a bad idea? Because there’s a difference between playing to win and playing not to lose. For example, let’s say that you set a goal that you wanna lose 10 or 15 pounds, when you know that in reality you wanna lose 30 or 40 pounds. But you feel that the safest bet is to choose a goal that is something that is easily attainable. But, it’s not a stretch goal. It’s something that is exactly that, easily attainable.

The same thing with financial goals. If you set a financial goal that you’re going to make enough money in the coming year to be able to comfortably pay your bills. Well, what happens when your bills are paid? Are there any other things that you may want to do, any other aspirations, any other goals, anything that is a stretch goal for something that would be of your wildest dreams? Perhaps it’s a one week vacation. Perhaps it’s some investment in yourself such as a new house or a new car, or doing something with a business, or something like that. Those are stretch goals.

Those are things that indicate that you are playing to win. The other side of that is simply an indicator that you’re playing not to lose, which is a safety net, which is something that yes you still make progress if it’s taking you from point A to maybe point A and a half, not really to point B. So, I want you to think about this and as you set goals for yourself, think about it in terms of playing to win, not playing not to lose.
